Give your hair a Moroccan vacation...

With so many different products promising you silky, smooth, damage-free hair.. where does a lady in distress start?!?! SIMPLE!! MOROCCO.. or should I say Moroccan Hair Oil Treatment. Believe the hype.. this stuff is amazing for your hair, especially in the summer heat and humidity.

The Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment is an oil that is free of any silicones or alcohol. It's primarily argan oil and not only super conditioning but smells divine! Because this oil is alcohol-free, unlike other hair serums that claim to be reparative, it will never dry your hair out. And the plus side is that your hair immediately absorbs it and it doesn't leave a greasy residual feel.

There are so many ways to use this oil treatment. You can apply it on damp, towel-dried hair to help condition, detangle, and smooth your hair before styling it. I like to mix a little bit of the oil with the Moroccan Oil Hydrating Styling Cream on the days my hair feels extra dry. You can also apply it on dried, finished hair to give it some added shine.

*For hair in need of a serious conditioning treatment, mix a drop or two of Moroccan Oil Treatment with your conditioner in the shower and apply it all over your hair, leave it on for 25 minutes, and rinse it out. Your dried tresses will thank you!! :)

And yes, it does come with a heavy price tag but if there is ever a moment to splurge on something wonderful for your hair.. this is it!

Did someone say FEATHERS??!!

What a fun way to spice up your look, especially in the summery haze! 70s are back with a mission this season and what's easier than having some fun colored feathers in your hair to go along with the hippie trend!! Their installation is painless, takes about 3 minutes and they last around 2 months. I have had mine for about a month now and they're still going strong. Look for your local hair salon or beauty supply store. Since it's the latest buzz in hair trends it shouldn't be too hard to find a place that installs them. My recommendation is to find a place that installs them in bundles, it is less expensive and faster than getting them one by one. *in order for them to really show you need at least 4 feathers together because they are very thin. And yes, you can shampoo your hair, blow dry, flat iron, and curl because they are heat-resistant!!! The feathers come from roosters and are dyed in a variation of colors and patterns. So go for it and throw a feather or two.. or more in your hair this summer! LOVE THEM :)

Blemish products that actually work!

Hello beauties!!

Don't you just love those days when you wake up and upon brushing your teeth you come face to face with a new blemish.. "Oh hello pimple, care to join me for the rest of my day and take over my face??" Yep, best days ever! Well after trying hundreds of products I have officially narrowed down the technique to just a few simple steps that actually do work immediately.

Mario Badescu is one of my favorite skin care lines for the mere fact that it works and is affordable!

The Buffering Lotion and Drying Lotion are the two must have products for anyone who gets a random blemish here and there.

Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion
As a skin care fanatic, the one thing I look at first is the list of ingredients. If the list is way too big and the print is far too fine I'm already over the product. Simpler is better, especially when it comes to your face!
This  lotion is my go-to whenever I notice a pimple or whitehead. The way you use this lotion is effortless. Just shake the bottle so that the powder is dispersed throughout the liquid and squeeze a tiny bit onto a clean finger and apply directly on the blemish. Easy peasy! What I really love about the buffering lotion is that it is so light and practically invisible. You won't be walking around with any noticeable thick cream or gel because it's quickly absorbed into your skin. Perfect as a day treatment.

Full Ingredients: Deionized Water, Isopropyl Alcohol, Sodium Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Hydrolyzed Serum Protein, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein, Pyridoxine, Niacinamide, Panthenol, Propylene Glycol, Allantoin, Biotin.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is hands down the best overnight blemish treatment so throw all your other false remedies away and get your hands on this bottle asap!!!

All That Glitters...

The second I thought my glitter nail polish obsession was finally weakening, I was introduced to Deborah Lippmann's gorgeous collection! And back I fell into the love-hate relationship I have with glitter nail polish. The Love being the obvious -- who doesn't want to have sparkley fun polish?!? The Hate -- the long and annoying process of taking that damn stuff off! Until now.. finally found a less torturous way to remove the glitter nail polish without having to bite, scrape, peel or buff your nails down. It's practically effortless and the result is a set of glitter-free nails and cuticles :)

Step One - Take a cotton ball and saturate halfway through with Pure Acetone (for those who have very dry cuticles or nails, you can use Non-Acetone although Pure Acetone will be more effective). You will need one cotton ball per nail.

Step Two - Place the wet part of the cotton ball down on your nail and press down. Take a small sheet of aluminum foil and wrap your finger, with the cotton ball in place on top of your nail. Do this step to all of your nails.

Step Three - Leave the foil on your fingers for about 5 minutes.

Step Four - To remove, press down on your nail while slipping the foil off your finger. Voila!! No glittery mess!

Fake it til you Bake it

Living in the northeast this winter has been pretty brutal but walking around pale as a ghost is even worse and I can no longer try to fight the winter blues. I finally whipped out my spray tan bottle last night and went to work. My all time favorite spray tan is Fake Bake. It's an aerosol bottle and the color is instant and fast drying, not orangey or streaky. I sprayed it all over my face, neck, and decollate, waited 10 minutes and went to bed. Woke up this morning with a sun-kissed bronzy glow! The real mystery is why I spent the past winter months without my Fake Bake?!

Lights On!!

Just sampled a new lipgloss that actually has a mirror and LED light as part of its design. My initial reaction when I heard about this new innovation went a little something like this.."umm.. really? Who would actually buy this?" And then I was given one as a gift and I'm loving it! No longer need to whip out my mirror when applying my lipgloss and I'm done trying to maneuver using my blackberry as a light source! This is a very creative and practical idea and the gloss itself is pretty awesome. It's infused with almond oil, jojoba, vitamin E, and lanolin. They even have a plumper formula for those who want fuller lips.
